NFL Getting Away With Murder

Does the NFL have a problem?

Young men, many of whom are given everything without earning it (including their education), are thus upon the landscape of American media with millions of dollars in their pockets and asked to be role models. These young men often have no sense of right and wrong because they have never had to ask for anything because their tremendous physical abilities have allowed them to be entitled to more than you or I.

Is this why we seemingly have so many players arrested each year? Or is it they receive more coverage because of what they do for a leaving?

Of the 24 NFL players who have been arrested this year alone, 3 have been cut or released from their teams. The list below may surprise you, because of that list you may not have a recollection of their arrest. Often because they are not as covered if they are lesser known commodities. The NFL still is better behaved than American society however, the NFL has roughly one arrest per 47 players per year since 2000, including injured reserve lists, according to the FBI database, while U.S. population has one arrest per 21 people per year (around 4,800 arrests per 100,000 inhabitants), according to the FBI.

The discussion is now open. Are these simply uneducated, over hyped, entitled children? Are we as a society at fault when a 45 year old man idolizes a 23 year old football player? Or, is it the companies (NFL) fault for not educating, and controlling their product better?
